On March 2, Rephaiah, in collaboration with the Embassy of Iceland, proudly hosted a high-level policy meeting on local pharmaceutical manufacturing. The meeting was organized by the National Planning Commission of Malawi.
The discussions focused on the importance of building and aligning four essential pillars for successful local manufacturing: government, regulatory authorities, universities, and industry. Each of these sectors plays a critical role in creating a sustainable and effective ecosystem for pharmaceutical production.
The outcomes of the meeting were extremely positive, with strong alignment and support across all participants. There was a shared recognition that collaboration across these pillars is vital to achieving long-term success and ensuring access to essential medicines through local production.
This milestone marks another important step forward in our mission, and we are encouraged by the momentum and commitment demonstrated by all involved.
