Regulatory Affairs Specialist

Background: Patience Khomani is a pharmacist and regulatory affairs professional with expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing, regulatory documentation, clinical trial submissions, and quality systems. She is currently pursuing a Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences with specialization in Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs at the University of Iceland, where her research focuses on strengthening local pharmaceutical manufacturing in Malawi through regulatory and policy reforms.

At Rephaiah Manufacturing Company, Patience serves as a regulatory specialist contributing to regulatory dossier compilation, GMP documentation review and regulatory submissions. Her work supports the company’s commitment to maintaining high-quality manufacturing standards and regulatory compliance in pharmaceutical production.

In addition, Patience gained international regulatory experience as a Chemistry and Manufacturing Control Intern at Sanofi, France, where she underwent an intensive six- month training.

Her professional background also includes experience in hospital and community pharmacy practice, pharmacology teaching, and pharmacovigilance. She is passionate about advancing pharmaceutical regulatory excellence, strengthening local manufacturing capacity in Africa, and contributing to improved access to safe, effective, and quality-assured medicines.

Hobbies: Listening to music, singing, cooking, athletics and traveling.
